Here’s hoping you are not at your desk (as I am) on this Veterans Day. Instead, I hope you’re off work with loved ones, and that you find a few moments to consider the importance of this day.

The saying that a picture is worth a thousand words surely applies in this case. Although as imperfect as some may think this country is it is the sacrafice of those men and women in uniform, some of which gave their lives, that allows an individual to stand up and make a difference. The freedom we enjoy and the rights we exercise, as difficult as it may be at times, was paid for in blood by those indivuals who made the ultimate sacrafice for our freedom.
There is one picture I wish was included, a picture of the sentinals at the tomb of the unknown soldier in Arlington, standing guard all during the hurricane. Vetrans Day is a sacred day.
