Officially, I am back from our New York vacation and behind my desk. In reality, I’m back, but sitting in the Sandra Day O’Connor Federal Courthouse watching a hearing on SB1070, Arizona’s immigration law. Specifically, the hearing is in regard to motions for preliminary injunction. More on that later.

So today (and to close out this series of retrospective blog posts), enjoy some of the feature stories we published in 2009.

In February, we published the results of our economic survey of lawyers and law practice.

We covered the breaking story of a national report on forensic science that cast doubt on current practices.

Our voluminous Immigration Issue took up many of the pages in July/August.

We ended 2009 without another in our popular “illustrated histories,” this one on cruel and unusual punishment.
